Inverell has been described as a town of community cohesion and friendliness with a strong family atmosphere. From the central business district to the outlying areas of Inverell, our community has developed a unique character with the foundations being layed upon unity and rural resilience.

The lifestyle our community enjoys cannot be replicated anywhere else, with the aged remaining to enjoy their retirement, a strong business community moving from strength to strength, and young people, once upon a time leaving in search of career prospects returning to Inverell to raise their own families in Inverell's warm and welcoming community.

Inverell cares for its community- looking after its disadvantaged and disabled, encouraging its talented and gifted, constantly working to improve its environment and proudly displaying its culture, history and background. Our community has the desire to better the lives of those in it and around it, putting energy into cooperative ventures for the greater good of the town.

With many service clubs, charity groups, and with a strong league of volunteer organisations, Inverell prides itself on its charitable and with generous community spirit.

Welcome to the Inverell Community- friendly, undemanding and with facilities and services to suit the diverse needs of its people.

Should you wish to contact a specific service in our community Council provides a community directory with current listings of all local organisations that can be downloaded
here. For a booklet of all local businesses please click here to download (will download in PDF).
