Inverell is served by a comprehensive range of medical services. There are a number of GP's supported by a range of specialist medical services including 2 Registrars, plus visiting specialists, Pathology services and a Radiography practice capable of CT Scans, Ultrasound and General X-rays.
The town has a 49 bed District hospital which is fully accredited and the H.N. McLean Retirement Village is the largest such complex in North West NSW and offers accommodation for 159 aged residents in modern facilities incorporating a Nursing Home, Hostel, Dementia Specific Unit and Serviced Self Care Units. There are a further 100 Self-Care Units catering for the aged within Inverell.
Other well established services available include Home and Community Care, the Homecare Service, Meals on Wheels and Community Aged Care Packages which are designed to provide Health Services in the Home.
